A Texas State student killed a man and injured his five months pregnant wife in a drunk driving accident on Tuesday.
According to a press release from San Marcos city, Shana Lee Elliot, 21, traveled over the center line on highway 21, which is when her Chevrolet Impala struck the Toyota Corolla carrying Kristian Nicole Guerrero and her husband Fabian Guerrero-Moreno.
Elliot was treated for minor injuries at Central Texas Medical Center.
Fabian died at the scene and his wife was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment.
Kristian is currently in serious condition and her unborn child is not expected to survive,

According to the outlet, Elliot admitted to police that she had been drinking while floating along the river earlier Tuesday. She has reportedly been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and an intoxication assault charge.
Officers described Elliot as having red and glassy eyes and being unsteady on her feet as well as having a strong smell of alcohol on her breath in an affidavit obtained by MySA.
The public relations and mass communications senior reportedly had previous run ins with the law, including a March arrest on three charges of possession of controlled substances and marijuana. She was also arrested in May on two more charges of possession of controlled substances.
Elliot’s bail was reportedly set at $ 185,000.
