Four people were shot, one fatally, at a T.I. concert in New York Wednesday night, with one of the victims in critical condition, according to New York Times.
The shooting took place inside the venue around 10:15 p.m. before the rapper took the stage. According to CBS News, an argument ensued in the balcony green room area of the Union Square venue before witnesses heard gunshots.
A rep for T.I. declined to comment.
Chaos was reported inside the venue at the time of the shooting. By around 11 p.m., the New York City Police department tweeted that “Scene safe at this time. Please stay clear of area.”
Myles Miller, a reporter for New York television station Pix11, tweeted that “several victims walked into nearby NYU hospital.” One eyewitness claimed, in an interview with Miller, that there was “pushing, people blocking each other, using people as shields so they don’t get the bullet.”
