Ciara took her hosting duties at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards seriously, studying up on divas’ former hosting gigs including Carrie Underwood at the CMAs and Jennifer Lopez at the AMAs. And she clearly got the memo that a truly memorable hosting job involves many, many wardrobe changes — in Ciara’s case, that means seven, to be exact.

The star, who hit the red carpet with fiancé Russell Wilson, set the tone for her majorly body-baring night with a showstopping silver Philipp Plein gown that showcased miles of skin in between the shimmering panels, plus Casadei heels and a Jacob & Co. ring. She tied her hair up into a bun with bangs — both of which she lost by the time she hit the stage to kick things off in a double-slit Michael Costello gown (which showed off her legs to great effect as she demonstrated her “club moves”) and strappy black heels. She then rapidly acquired a braid to go with her gold-and-silver minidress and coordinating metallic Giuseppe Zanotti Design heels for look three.

She then stepped into a sweetheart-neckline black gown with sheer ivory panels, accented with a choker and thigh-high Brian Atwood boots and slicked back her long hair for her fourth look, which didn’t last long; her fifth look — a sheer silver Naeem Khan turtleneck gown — was simultaneously more covered up and more body-baring.

She was back in her banged bun for her sixth look, a black gown with a super-high slit and metallic buckles along the sheer side panel, plus barely-there heels. And she still managed to surprise with her seventh look, which showcased her incredibly fit figure just as well as the six that came before it, but was the first to come in color (a deep raspberry velvet). She promised glam, and she certainly delivered.
