Everton are on course to announce Kurt Zouma’s arrival from Chelsea.
Everton have already signed centre-back Yerry Mina today – and Zouma is set to follow.
The deal is yet to be announced but it is understood Zouma did sign before the 7pm extended deadline.
Everton have enjoyed a busy final day of the transfer window, landing Mina, Andre Gomes and Bernard.
Transfer news LIVE: Everton are still waiting to announce Kurt Zouma’s arrival
18:30: Newcastle have signed defender Federico Fernandez after the 5pm transfer deadline.
The Magpies put in a deal sheet before the deadline passed to snap up the Swansea player.
Fernandez becomes Newcastle’s seventh signing of the summer.
“It’s a new challenge in my life and I’m very excited to meet all the players and staff here,” he said.
17:34: Another late one… Tony Khan has just tweeted this: “I’m excited to announce that @FulhamFC has signed Sergio Rico on loan from Sevilla.
“Sergio is a world class goalkeeper, and now he’s joining a very talented cast of goalkeepers under contract at FFC, making our squad as strong as possible for the @premierleague. Come on Fulham!”
He has been capped once for Spain national side and had been linked with Chelsea earlier this week.
Transfer news: Fulham have signed Sergio Rico
17:30: Late drama for Danny Ings. Southampton have submitted a deal sheet after agreeing fee with Liverpool and have two hours to get it signed. Ings on his way to the south coast now to complete the move.
Kurt Zouma is also believed to be the subject of a deal sheet move. He’s set to join Everton from Chelsea. Oh, and if you need to know what a deal sheet is…
17:15: West Ham have announced the signing of Colombia midfielder Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina on a two-year deal.
Barcelona have agreed to loan midfielder Andre Gomes to Everton for the forthcoming season, the Spanish side have announced.
While Barca have also confirmed defender Yerry Mina has also signed for Everton while Brighton have signed Dan Burn from Fulham.
Transfer news: Yerry Mina has joined Everton
17:00: THE. TRANSFER. WINDOW. IS. SHUT.
But still deals could be done. We’re hearing Everton could be signing Kurt Zouma and Andre Gomes on loan – as well as Yerry Mina. More as we have it.
16:50: This could be the deal of the window – if it comes off. Sit down, Chelsea fans, for it’s been claimed Nabil Fekir has agreed personal terms to move to Stamford Bridge.
Football news outlet CaughtOffside are running a report this afternoon which states Fekir has come to an arrangement on a contract with Chelsea.
English clubs need to complete their transfer business by 5pm today – meaning a deal would need to be rushed through, if true.
However, CaughtOffside say Lyon are holding firm and are desperate not to sell their star player.
16:36: Timothy Fosu Mensah is close to joining Fulham on loan for the season.
The 20-year-old defender was at Crystal Palace last season and looks set to head back to London.
Fulham have been looking for reinforcements before the window shuts and still need a left-back.
Joe Bryan appears the most likely to slot in there if his deal from Bristol City gets done.
16:13: More on Diego Godin. Sky Sports man Kaveh Solhekol says Jose Mourinho was keen on the player but believes the club has been used by the Uruguayan’s agent.
He tweeted: “Diego Godin’s agent approached Manchester United this week when the team was in Cagliari, saying the player was keen to come to Old Trafford and a deal could be done, so United made an offer for the agent to take to the Atletico board.
“Within hours, Godin had signed a new contract on improved terms at Atletico Madrid (€7.5m net).
“Whilst Jose Mourinho would have been keen to sign the defender, the manager believes that the desire on the agent’s part was always to leverage the situation to get a new contract for Godin.”
Transfer news: Solhekol believes Godin may have used Man Utd
15:56: Ladbrokes have suspended betting on Yerry Mina joining Everton before 5pm today.
Having long been linked with a move to the Premier League, the bookies are so confident the Barcelona defender will move to Goodison Park, they’ve now pulled the plug on the market for his next club.
Meanwhile, Kurt Zouma is now just 1/4 to follow him to Merseyside.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “He’s been odds-on for a Prem move for a few weeks now, and it looks as though Everton have won the race for Mina’s signature. It’s a race against time now, but Zouma may well be following him to Goodison Park.”
15:16: Now this is big. Really big… Arsenal have apparently lodged a £92million bid for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, according to Spanish journalist Kike Marin.
El Confidencial reporter Marin tweeted a huge update this afternoon to suggest the Gunners may pull off the deal of the transfer window.
He tweeted: “Confirmed: #Arsenal has offered to #FCBarcelona € 100 million by Dembelé. The key is whether the French striker wants to go or not. Time is running out…”
15:11: Rangers are seeing some movement in Scotland today.
Declan John is having a medical at Swansea and Josh Windass is in talks with Cardiff.
James Tavernier though is staying put and will lead Rangers out against Maribor tonight.
The window doesn’t close in Scotland until the end of the month so there could still be incomings over the next few weeks with a striker the top priority.
Transfer news live: Steven Gerrard is getting some squad players out on deadline day
15:00: Wolves have made their second signing in as many days with the recruitment of Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who can also play in defence, has joined the club initially on a season-long loan but the move will become permanent next summer.
14:45: A brilliant story has emerged about Thibaut Courtois’ move to Real Madrid.
A journalist interviewed him back in 2011, when he was about to join Atletico. At the time he saw a Real Madrid flag in his room.
The reporter kept the fact he had it private and now, seven years later, Courtois has got his dream move.
Spanish journalist Dani Hidalgo wrote: “He slept under a flag of the Santiago Bernabeu in his room in Bree (Belgium). I saw it in 2011 in a report of the local TV TVL, who interviewed him while he was packing to go to Madrid. I decided not to publish anything when I worked in as not to hurt him.”
Transfer news: Thibaut Courtois slept with a Real Madrid flag on his bed
14:30: Swansea defender Federico Fernandez headed for Tyneside this afternoon as Newcastle attempted to push through a deadline day deal.
With the two clubs still working to agree a fee, the 29-year-old Argentina international made his way to the north-east to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.
The Swans’ assistant manager Billy Reid told a press conference: “Fede has been here throughout pre-season and was excellent on Saturday, but he’s a player who sees his future elsewhere.
“It’s not settled yet, but it looks like he will go to Newcastle.”
14:00: Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says it will be “difficult” to make any signings before the transfer window shuts.
Spurs are the only Premier League club not to make an addition to their squad and Pochettino admits any arrivals are unlikely before the 5pm deadline.
He said: “It will be difficult. It’s not over until the game is over but with four hours to go it will be difficult.”
The Argentinian refused to speak about Spurs’ pursuit of Jack Grealish, but after a £25million bid was rejected on Wednesday that deal appears dead.
Transfer news: Tottenham want Jack Grealish but Aston Villa are adamant they’re not selling.
13:44: Cardiff have signed Spain Under-21 international Victor Camarasa, the Premier League club have announced.
Camarasa joins from LaLiga club Real Betis and becomes Cardiff’s fifth summer signing.
“The 24-year-old central midfielder joins on a season-long loan for the 2018-19 campaign,” the Bluebirds announced on the official club website.
Camarasa progressed through the Valencia academy before joining neighbours Levante in 2012, making 65 appearances.
13:26: West Ham will still announce the signing of Carlos Sanchez today, according to Twitter in-the-know @ExWHUemployee.
Asked by a fan whether Sanchez is signing, he responded: “Yes at this point.”
Sanchez has won 88 caps for Colombia and played in the Premier League for Aston Villa between 2014 and 2016.
While Everton winger Ademola Lookman is staying at Goodison Park, according to Sky Sports presenter Alan Myers
Myers said: “One significant piece of information is about Ademola Lookman. There’s been lots of interest in him. RB Leipzig have tried everything to get him out of Everton but I can tell you 100 per cent he’s staying at Everton.
“I’m also told he’s going to be a very big part of this season. So good news for Evertonians, Ademola Lookman will be staying at Everton.”
13:05: Leicester boss Claude Puel has confirmed Harry Maguire IS going to Manchester.
Except Puel was having a press conference prank – as it’s only for Leicester’s openi1ng Premier League game with Manchester United!
Asked about United’s interest, Leicester boss Puel joked with the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon.
He said: “I can confirm he is going to Manchester – but only for a couple of hours!”
Transfer news: Claude Puel says Harry Maguire is ‘going to Manchester’
12:41: Thibaut Courtois has been unveiled after completing his move to Real Madrid from Chelsea.
The Belgium international, named best goalkeeper at the World Cup, has signed a six-year deal after completing a medical on Thursday.
Courtois had a year remaining on his Chelsea deal and did not report for training with the Blues this week, before the transfer was agreed for 31.5million.
Courtois passed a medical at Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital and was later unveiled as a Real player at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Transfer news live: Thibaut Courtois has been unveiled at Real Madrid
12:25: Everton are closing in on the double signing of Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes from Barcelona with both players passing medicals, it’s been claimed.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the Toffees are set to land both players before today’s 5pm deadline.
A report states the duo have ‘passed’ medicals in a Barcelona hospital and the clubs are now thrashing out the final details of the agreements.
Mina is expected to be a permanent transfer while midfielder Gomes is likely to be a loan deal.
12:15: Diego Godin will SNUB Manchester United despite a deadline day approach. That is the huge claim from Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano.
He tweeted: “Man Utd offered €25M to Atlético Madrid for Diego Godin release clause… and €9M/season to the player. Godin at the moment has NOT accepted and he wants to stay at Atléti.”
United have been frustrated all summer as they look to snap up a defender.
12:05: There will be no incomings at Arsenal today but they could still be pretty busy with shipping players out.
They today agreed completed the sale of Lucas Perez to West Ham on a three-year deal.
He could be followed by David Ospina, Danny Welbeck, Carl Jenkinson and Joel Campbell.
11:53: More news on Diego Godin… The bookies weren’t even taking bets on the Uruguayan joining the Red Devils yesterday, before installing him as a 6/1 shot for a shock move earlier this morning.
But odds have already been cut to just 4/1, making him the third-most likely centre half to join United.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “United’s mega summer statement could be about to arrive in the shape of Diego Godin, who’s odds will only shorten this afternoon, we predict.”
Transfer news: Diego Godin is said to have interested Manchester United
11:36: Manchester United are going to make three signings on deadline day, according to former defender Gary Neville.
United have been frustrated in the past few weeks as deals for the likes of Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld and Jerome Boateng have seemingly all failed to materialise.
And with the transfer window closing at 5pm today, time is running out for any new players to sign.
But Neville has spectacularly suggested United could end the window with three new players.
He wrote on Twitter: “It’s #DeadlineDay! Watch it all unfold on Sky Sports News! United are gonna buy 3!!!”
11:11: United have launched a surprise approach for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin.
The Uruguay defender was one of the top performers at the World Cup and Jose Mourinho could pull off a massive coup after being turned down by a number of other options.
Sky Sports say the Red Devils are hoping to land Godin on loan until the end of the season.
But that may not rule out a move for Harry Maguire or Toby Alderweireld, although Leicester and Tottenham are desperate not to sell their prized assets.
The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract at the King Power Stadium, subject to the deal being given international clearance.
He becomes the sixth new arrival of the summer following the acquisitions of Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans, James Maddison, Danny Ward and Rachid Ghezzal.
Leicester boss Claude Puel said: “Filip is an exciting young player who has the potential to develop even more at Leicester City Football Club. He has made a big contribution to Dinamo Zagreb over the last three years and has also benefited from experiencing European football.
“I know he will give us some great options and competition in the squad and I’m delighted to have him here.”
Transfer news: Filip Benkovic has joined Leicester City
10:55: Manchester United don’t have a chance in competing with Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title due to their summer spending. That’s the claim of Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.
“When you look at Manchester City, possibly Liverpool, I don’t think they [United] have the quality of those two teams at the minute,” Scholes said.
“Liverpool have made some really good signings. United finished above them last season.
“I just don’t see United getting closer to City. City are a really good side, great manager, some great players, a way of playing that they all know about and Manchester United seem to be not too sure what’s going on.
“You don’t really know the team, you don’t really know the players, you don’t know how they’re going to perform from one week to the next.”
10:40: Jack Grealish is staying at Aston Villa – and the club will reward him with a bumper new deal.
The 22-year-old playmaker will be offered a new contract that will make him the highest paid player at the club after seeing the door slammed on a £25m move to Tottenham.
Grealish is said to be upset at suggestions that he was about to cut up rough after seeing a dream move to the Premier League shattered.
He’s reported for training at Villa’s training ground as normal and is ready to try and achieve that with Villa this season – and then be allowed to jump ship next summer if Steve Bruce’s men fail to get back up.
West Ham transfer news: The Hammers turned their London Stadium into a shrine to Lucas Perez
10:20: Lucas Perez is at West Ham after passing a medical.
Jack Wilshere has taken a sneaky pic of the striker in Hammers training gear with an announcement expected imminently.
The 29-year-old joined the Gunners two years ago but spent the entirety of last season on loan at former club Deportivo.
Having been included in Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Singapore it appeared Perez was potentially going to be given a fresh start under new head coach Unai Emery.
But a transfer across London to join the Hammers has been done, with Perez wanting another chance to make his mark in England.
Transfer news: Lucas Perez is at West Ham and ready to sign
10:03: Chelsea have announced Mateo Kovacic has joined the Blues from Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal.
The 24-year-old Croatian international arrives with experience having featured regularly in Serie A, La Liga, the Champions League and at international level. He played five games during Croatia’s run to the World Cup final this summer.
Kovacic said: “I am really happy and excited to be here at Chelsea. It is an amazing feeling. I will try to do my best for this club. It is a new league for me, the beginning is always tough but I am sure the coach and my new team-mates will help me and I am looking forward to a great season.”
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia added: “We are very happy to welcome Mateo to the Chelsea family. He is a perfect fit for us this season, his style is well suited to how Maurizio wants to play and we are sure he will prove to be a valuable asset for the club.”
Transfer news: Could Mateo Kovacic be unveiled at 2pm?
09:55: Chelsea have called a 2pm press conference at Stamford Bridge on deadline day.
The Blues have invited the media to attend the club’s stadium for an official conference.
The club are saying it’s to unveil keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga – although it remains a possibility that they announce TWO new signings.
A deal for Kepa has already been announced while Mateo Kovacic is expected to follow. He has agreed a loan move from Real Madrid.
09:40: Jose Mourinho is “not confident” of making a transfer deadline day signing.
He has just appeared at a press conference where he said: ”Signings? The information I have is no. I’m not confident, I’m not confident as the market closes today so it is time at least for me to stop thinking about the market because the market will be closed.
“So will have to focus on the players I have and in relation to this first couple of matches, maybe three matches because after Spurs there is national team and a couple of weeks to recover people and prepare people better, is to focus on players available so I’m not thinking about that unavailable list I give you, I focus on what we have.”
Transfer news: Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool could all do business on deadline day
09:30: An apology from Patrick van Aanholt… he’s just splashed a Sky Sports News reporter on his way into the training ground!
The Crystal Palace defender has just tweeted: “Think I just splashed one of your reporters @SkySportsNews …I’ll warn the boys of the puddle as they enter training sooooorrryyyy! #DeadlineDay.”
At least he hasn’t put any sex toys in their ears…
09:15: Two players are odds-on with Ladbrokes to join Manchester United before 5pm today.
As things stand Harry Maguire looks set for a move, with the bookies pricing up his chances of leaving Leicester for Manchester at 10/11.
But the more likely United signing is Toby Alderweireld, with 2/5 now on offer for the Tottenham ace to make a Deadline Day move. Meanwhile, Yerry Mina (9/2) and Jerome Boateng (5/1) deals look unlikely.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Mourinho hasn’t had the best of summers but there could be two more big names on their way to Old Trafford by close of play today.”
West Ham transfer news: Lucas Perez is still expected to sign
09:10: Lucas Perez has not officially signed but West Ham insider @ExWHUemployee still expects it to be done.
Ex, a reliable source of Hammers transfer news, tweeted last night: “The deal is still on course to be completed but there is an agent issue that needs sorting.”
As for Carlos Sanchez, that remains in the balance. West Ham want another midfielder but Danny Drinkwater has also emerged as a possible target.
It’s expected to be one or the other, and not both.
09:00: United legend Rio Ferdinand says “carnage” is about to happen on transfer deadline day as the Red Devils aim to sign at least one player before the window closes.
Ferdinand wrote on Twitter: “Transfer Deadline Day… carnage about to begin! Multiple Phone Calls Happening… wonder if Jose will be getting the 2 signings he wants?!”
While United attacker Alexis Sanchez says the club must sign experienced players like Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal if they are to win trophies.
“At United we have to sign big players, with experience,” Sanchez told Sky Sports.
“He is a great player and my team-mate from Chile. He is an example of the type of players we need to sign to win trophies and compete at the highest level.”
08:50: Early done deal for you all… Manchester City have announced the signing of Daniel Arzani from Melbourne City FC.
The 19-year-old arrived in the UK on Wednesday to finalise the terms of the transfer.
Managing Director of Global Football Brian Marwood said: “In a short period of time, Daniel has developed into one of Australia’s brightest young stars and has demonstrated the drive and raw talent required for success at the highest level.
“This pathway was first forged by Aaron Mooy just two years ago, and we are all delighted to see another Australian-grown talent make this move. The combination of City Football Group’s global football structure and the world-leading City Football Academy facilities create an environment in which this pathway can become well-trodden.”
He is now set to be sent on loan.
Transfer news: Man City have signed Daniel Arzani, who will now go out on loan
08:40: Chelsea have made Kepa Arrizabalaga the world’s most expensive goalkeeper as Maurizio Sarri’s men swiftly moved to replace Real Madrid-bound Thibaut Courtois.
Months of speculation surrounding the Belgium goalkeeper came to an end on Wednesday evening when it was announced that he would get his dream move to the Spanish capital.
The deal that sees Courtois join Real Madrid for a reported £35million sees midfielder Mateo Kovacic head the other way on a season-long loan. But it is Chelsea’s move to replace their first-choice goalkeeper that is most eye-catching.
Kepa has signed a seven-year deal after joining from Athletic Bilbao, who confirmed earlier in the day that the 23-year-old’s release clause of £72.1m was activated and his contract terminated.
08:00: Jose Mourinho has a race against time to strengthen his squad today. Here’s the state of play.
England’s World Cup star Harry Maguire has been among the main targets this summer but Leicester have repeatedly made it clear that the defender is not for sale. However, Express Sport understands he DOES want to move to Old Trafford.
As for Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, talks remain ongoing but it’s likely to depend on how things progress with Maguire. While United’s interest in imposing Barcelona defender Yerry Mina is tempered by financial demands.
That deal does not appear to be dead just yet and Jerome Boateng is another option, although Bayern Munich are understood not to be keen to sanction a loan deal that United would like.
Transfer news: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has had a hugely frustrating summer
07:50: So Liverpool won’t bring in any fresh faces today – not even Nabil Fekir, despite every Liverpool fan seemingly wanting him.
But the Reds do want to sell with Divock Origi and Lazar Markovic potentially leaving.
Spanish outlet El Desmarque claim Crystal Palace have tabled a bid worth £16.2million to sign Divock Origi while La Liga giants Valencia are also interested.
The 23-year-old is surplus to requirements after a disappointing loan spell with German side Wolfsburg last season.
Transfer news: Divock Origi is a target for Crystal Palace
07:30: Starting at Arsenal and they may be bringing in a defender before today’s transfer deadline, says Sky Sports reporter Gail Davis.
“If it is to be anybody, it’s likely to be a defender,” she told Sky Sports News.
“If you look at who they’ve got, Laurent Koscielny is out with his Achilles until December, Sead Kolasinac got injured in pre-season.
“Nacho Monreal is just on his way back but they are a little bit short there.
“Lots of speculation around the Croatian defender over the past few days, Domagoj Vida.
“He helped his country to the World Cup final, plays for Besiktas.”
07:00: The deadline day madness has started with Premier League clubs having until 5pm to complete any new signings.
Manchester United and Chelsea are expected to be busiest while Liverpool will move to trim their squad rather than add to it.
A couple of early notes for the diary… Jose Mourinho is due to speak at 9.30am while Totenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will hold a press conference at 12.30pm. The pair of them have both had hugely frustrating windows – but will they do any late deals today?
Jack Grealish, pictured above, is wanted and he is desperate to move to north London. However, Aston Villa are saying a firm ‘no’. Will be one to watch today for sure.
