If a bride didn’t wear white to her wedding these days, there would certainly be a bit of drama to follow.
Katie Price, Kayley Cuoco and even Jessica Biel also decided to break this standing rule when they tied the knot, opting for pinks, purples and black.
However, while such decision left plenty of us gasping, it turns out these ladies were being much more traditional than we thought.
So why do brides wear white on their wedding day? According to website TIME, Queen Victoria is the lady responsible for changing tradition as she was one of the first public women to walk down the aisle in a white dress.

Red was apparently the traditional colour of a bridal gown with white often being associated with mourning. And it turns out the trend caught on rather quickly and after 176 years, no one has ever looked back.

The glamorous model was never going to go for something normal on her wedding now, was she?

Pink is definitely rivalling white and ivory in celebtown as Justin Timberlake’s wife also decided to wear the colour for her ceremony.
When Gwen married Gavin Rossdale in 2002, she couldn’t quite pick between traditional ivory and pink so she opted for both.
And of course, her edgy style meant she carried it off perfectly.
